20 August 2006: Downhill Race Day

After a few weeks of great weather, Murphy's Law kicked in for the downhill race. Despite the rain, 65 racers tackled the brand-new course and 64 of them finished. I tried to capture the atmostphere as much as possible while cowering under the finish timing crew's tent, which proved extra-challenging as the driving rain attempted to thwart my camera's auto-focus system.
