Around 1700, I left the base lodge and started downhill. I decided to see how the nordic trails on the downhill side of the Sports Center looked, as higher-elevation trails tend to remain quite wet. I took a few short side trips (particularly down Joiner Brook Trail and Polar) before turning around and returning mostly the way I had come, with a few alternate routes (namely Grand View and Twin Knolls). Most trails were generally dry, although Twin Knolls had a significant amount of wet ground.
